“Waimea Canyon”, Kauai, HI, USA, ‘24.

Just before we left for Maui, we went to see once again the beautiful views from Waimea Canyon. This time I decided to sketch the forbidden island Ni’ihau. Such a stunning view! Also, instead of using my black ink, decided to use the local red mud as I know from before when I visited Kauai in ‘15, this mud is like pigment, so strong. So decided to try it as ink. It worked perfectly and gave even deeper meaning to the artworks I created afterwords.
